Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Bibles Books and Shovels, Inc. has continued to prosper because of the grace of God and the generosity of donors to our goal of educating 15 children in Kenya. We are excited about many of their success stories thus far.

It is our hope that you will make a commitment to support our effort to meet the needs of these children until they complete the equivalent of our high school education.

We have two teams of people in 2006 who have gone to Kenya this year at their own expense to help where necessary and confirm that our goals for educational, spiritual, and medical assistance continue to be of priority.

With your help, we can continue pursuing to address these needs.

  • This mission team was able to visit Victory Academy and see our children attending classes.  Great improvements have been made since the last mission trip 2 years ago.
  • Ezra, the school’s manager informed our team that our school is registered with the Ministry of Education in Nairobi, Kenya.  The official registered name of our school is Glorious Victory Academy which prevents it from being mistaken for another school with the name Victory Academy.  Much expansion is being planned on the present 2 acres with plans to purchase another 2 acres of land.

                                     GREAT NEWS:

  • Pastor William Meni has agreed that he will provide spiritual support for the children.  He requested Vacation Bible School materials, hand puppets and 311 NKJ bibles.  30 bibles were purchased by the May mission team    Medical Program   -- Bibles Books and Shovels has made an agreement with Dr. Stephen Chula of the Kikambala Medical Center for his medical diagnosis and treatment of all 310 children attending Glorious Victory Academy.  $100 per month will be set aside for the cost of treating illnesses.  Referrals will be made by Ezra, the school principal.

We thank God for inspiring all who are concerned and committed to offer their skills and suport to further insure success for our children.

Your support is essential to our continued success and future growth.

We are trusting that you will commit to a multiple year pledge and sign and return the pledge sheet enclosed with this letter.

Always in His Service,

The Board of Directors of Bibles Books and Shovels, Inc.
