On May 8, 2006 Mike Minor, Robin Wilson, and Kenneth went for a short-term
mission trip to Mombasa, Kenya. The trip lasted for about three weeks. We visited the
children at Victory Academy. A complete team update report will be given
very soon. This will include discussions we had with the teachers, the parents, and people from the local
community. Plans will be finalized for the second part of the 2006 short-term
mission assignment due to depart in July 2006. Please continue with your
prayers and continued support for this team.
Why we need to go to Mombasa, Kenya in
2006.
Our Commitment
This is a committed promise to our
contributors, our children, families, and the school in Mombasa, Kenya, and to our board of directors. We have stated in our minutes that every two years, until this project is completed, we would have a team
from the United States travel to Mtwapa Mombasa, Kenya to check and report on the progress of our mission at Victory Academy
and our impact on the surrounding community.
Our Report
Our report needs to contain the following,
documented with pictures and letters;
The academic status of the
school and our children.
The medical status of the community,
school and our children.
The spiritual status of the
community, school and our children.
State the physical impact the 2006
mission team had on our children, the school, and the community.
State what we expect to accomplish
within the next two years with our donations and input. This expectation must
be something that can be measured.
Other longer range goals for the
school in Mtwapa, Kenya with some time schedule if possible.
The items in the report become the basis
for our 2008 trip.
The final report will be coming very soon.
